It’s all about You

One of the things I have observed is that after people learn about DISC, they do very little with it.

They might recognise the main style of another person and know the main characteristics of that behaviour and that’s all really.

The key to success is actually understanding your own behaviour, its affect on others and how and when to change your own behaviour to get the best from others.

Change your style on the phone with a prospect,

change your style when you meet someone new,

change your style when you give a presentation.

It’s all about you really…

The first step is simple. Quickly recognise if the person you are talking to, whether in person or on the phone, is out-going and louder or reserved and much quieter. Then it’s up to you to match their style. This will make them feel more comfortable.

So if you are a D/I type, make a conscious effort to speak slower and softer with a S/C type.

Conversely if you are S/C you’re best to quicken your pace and speak with more force to a D/I

Wishing you lots of success

In everything you do…….
